CAYAC is a youth organization whose mission is to engage local students to help serve the mission of Crisis Assistance Ministry by volunteering, donating, and advocating.
CAYAC supports Crisis Assistance Ministry which serves the low-income citizens of Mecklenburg County, often classified as “the working poor,” who are facing financial emergencies and are struggling to meet life’s basic needs. These include people who are: – Working in one or more low-wage jobs – Disabled or elderly and living on fixed incomes – Facing increasing costs of living, stagnant wages and a lack of affordable housing
- Without a network of support – Just like you and me
CAYAC members have ongoing opportunities to serve Crisis Assistance Ministry. Our signature project is Global Youth Service Day in April where youth come together to volunteer and have fun.
